On the 8th of June event Energy Reinvented Community is collaborating together with the North Sea Offshore (Port of Den Helder, Den Helder Airport, Ontwikkelingsbedrijf NHN and Haven en Scheepvaart Vereniging) to address the challenge of offshore energy transport and integration in the onshore grid.
What is the role of hydrogen for wind energy transport? When will offshore hydrogen production be possible and economic? Is it attractive to use existing gas infrastructure for hydrogen transport and will it be available at the right time?
How can we manage a smooth transition from natural gas to hydrogen? Do we need energy hubs or islands for conversion of power and hydrogen and if so, when?
In this session we will discuss with the major stakeholders of the energy transition in the North Sea from government, industry, knowledge institutes and NGO’s on the challenges of brining the offshore wind energy ashore.
