Baltic Eagle is the next offshore wind farm that will be supplied with the cable hang-off systems of Vos Prodect

Vos Prodect continues to support the major offshore wind farm projects in 2022. We are happy to announce that Vos Prodect will be the Cable Hang-Off supplier for the TKF cable project Baltic Eagle offshore wind farm.

Vos Prodect will deliver all sealed Cable Hang-Off Systems for the Baltic Eagle offshore wind farm, which is located in the Baltic Sea (Germany), next to Rügen Island. Specifically for this project, a tailored load test program has been created, that will be executed at the bespoke test facility of Vos Prodect in Klazienaveen. In this extensive test program, the cables of TKF have been tested collectively with the systems of Vos Prodect to ensure compatibility.

We would like to congratulate TKF on the contract to supply the cables for the Baltic Eagle offshore wind farm. By late 2024, Baltic Eagle will have a total capacity of 475,000 homes, while annually avoiding the emission of nearly 1 million tonnes of CO2. Van Oord has been awarded for the transport and installation of the entire project.

According to Iberdrola, the Baltic Sea holds an incredible potential of 93,000 MW for offshore wind in Europe. ‘’Alongside Germany, several countries, such as Poland, Sweden, and Estonia are exploring new opportunities for offshore wind developments’’, (Iberdrola, 2022). Vos Prodect has to deliver the Cable Hang-Off Systems by the end of Q3 of 2022. The project is scheduled to be fully operational by the end of 2024.

We are looking forward to another cooperation with TKF cables and the successful realization of the Baltic Eagle offshore wind farm.
