Seatools, a leading subsea technology company, is pleased to announce its contract with CSBC-DEME Wind Engineering (CDWE) for the design, engineering, installation, and commissioning of the metrology and hydraulic system of the Pre-Piling Template (PPT) for the Hai Long Offshore Wind Farm in Taiwan.
Following CDWE’s successful bid in November 2022 to transport and install foundations, turbines, and the offshore substations for the Hai Long offshore wind farm, Seatools has been selected to provide equipment for the installation of pin piles. The WTG foundations will consist of pre-piled jacket-type structures, and Seatools’ equipment will be mounted on a pre-piling template to ensure the accurate placement of the piles within stringent tolerances.
Seatools boasts an exceptional track record and unparalleled expertise in mission critical subsea metrology, controls, and subsea hydraulic systems. With successful completion of recent projects like Zhong Neng, Changfang & Xidao, and Greater Changhua, Seatools has established itself as the market leader in subsea technology for pre-piling templates.
Seatools’ equipment is meticulously engineered to endure the demanding conditions encountered during piling operations, including intense vibrations and shock loads. Over the years, the company has carefully developed and refined a proven technology toolbox, incorporating resilient subsea components and systems. Every new component undergoes rigorous qualification testing, including comprehensive shock load assessments, to ensure their long-lasting durability. Ensuring the mechanical integrity of oil-filled pressure compensated components and systems is paramount, not only to ensure productivity but also to minimize any potential environmental impact.
Furthermore, also for this project Seatools will utilize its advanced simulation capabilities to ensure first-time-right performance. Thorough simulations of control and measurement algorithms minimize offshore commissioning time, ensuring a first-time-right performance.
Jan Frumau, Managing Director of Seatools, expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “We are delighted that CDWE has once again entrusted Seatools with this critical equipment. With our proven technology toolbox and unique approach, we are confident in providing CDWE with the most reliable and productive equipment, enabling uninterrupted offshore piling operations.”
