Invitation to the 8th Reinvented Oil & Gas Community Meeting 30th March 2017, "Big Data, Digitalization"

17 March 2017, The Hague | Trade

8th Event of the Oil & Gas Reinvented Community

We kindly invite you for our 8th meeting of the Oil & Gas Reinvented Community. The program focuses on two purposes and is therefore divided into an afternoon and an evening part.

The main theme this time will be “Big Data” in the oil and gas industry. Are Big data, Industry V4.0, artificial intelligence more buzz words and can we already use the IBM Watson supercomputing technology in our industry

Digitalization marks one further step into a new age of our industry, and a huge stride toward greater networking and efficiency. Lower oil en gas prices create an opportunity to focus on some critical success factors: innovation, optimizing efficiency, safety and optimizing the cost/value balance.

At this seminar, views will be presented from the oil and gas industry by Statoil and the German VDMA association. From other industries we will hear the views and strategies of IBM, Landrover Bar and from the academic world by Montan University Leoben from Austria.

Afternoon – working to profit from collaborative innovation
The main purpose of the afternoon session is to follow up in establishing common working groups. As a result of our last meetings the following working groups will be established: Offshore Energy,  Digital Oil and Gas, Robotics, CCUS and Young professionals. We expect our working groups to actively engage in their topic discussions, as always!

Evening – learning from the impact of new technology and digitalization
In this session inspiring presenters will share their vision and experience on profit opportunities in the rapidly developing new technology, digitalization, robotics, big data, industry V4.0 developments, new business models and collaborative partners.

A panel of experts from different backgrounds and industries, will give their reflection and share their thoughts on this seminar, discuss the trends, opportunities and challenges of digitalization in the industries.

As always, we seek to create the ideal setting for you to network and exchange ideas with likeminded professionals. Hence, we will conclude the event with a walking dinner.
