Prosafe signs three-year service contract for Atlas Competence Programme

Atlas Professionals is delighted to announce that Prosafe, the world’s leading owner/operator of semi-submersible accommodation vessels, has confirmed a three-year service contract for the Atlas Competence Programme (ACP).

Prosafe has confirmed a three-year service contract for the provision of further competence assurance of marine offshore staff, including agency as well as direct offshore employees, onboard their floating accommodation vessels. The ACP assures that professionals are competent within their function/field of expertise through a recognised Competence Programme.

The ACP can cater for all industry functions Atlas serves. For Prosafe, competence assurance will be offered for all marine functions currently available within the ACP, such as Chief Engineer, Rigger Foreman and Motorman, as well as new to be added functions such as Ballast Operator.

“Prosafe are delighted to have selected Atlas for the provision of our Competence Assurance Program. The system is a value-adding tool for our offshore workforce and shore-based management alike. The affiliation with IMCA represents common guidelines within our industry and provides our clients with reassurance that Competence remains a priority. We are happy to strengthen our partnership with Atlas as our preferred crewing provider,” says Donna Leslie, HR Director at Prosafe.

Atlas’ operational team and the competence management team are delighted to provide these services. “We believe that no other competitor has the breadth of our programme and that we are a frontrunner amongst the industry’s recruitment agencies, adding value for our clients”, says Matt Riding, Director at Atlas Professionals.

Certified Programme

In a recent external audit performed by Caledonia Competence, the ACP was duly awarded a three-year certification. The audit consisted of a combination of documentation review and a presentation/Q&A of the ACP processes, system and Portal used by our Professionals. The scope of the audit ranged from Policy, Procedures & Objectives, Documentation, Training, the Assessment & Verification process, and Senior Management Involvement with the ACP.

As such, Atlas is proud to offer a cost-effective and measurable way to assess and verify the competence of professionals in these industries.

The successful audit further shows Atlas Professionals commitment to ensuring that Competence and the ACP is at the forefront of the industry. This is further shown by its presence on the IMCA’s Competence & Training Committee in the position as vice chair.

Front runner
Atlas Professionals is dedicated to providing a safe, reliable and competent workforce, while working to meet clients’ needs globally. Transforming this mission into action, it was the first recruitment company operating an easily accessible, quality driven and partly automated Competence Management Programme.

With expansion to other industries, including Seismic, the company will remain front runner. “Through the ACP we further assure that all professionals meet the requirements of the job, thereby adding value to our clients”, says Dingena Peddie-Theunisse, Competence Manager at Atlas Professionals.
