I’m Kirsten, and I’m honoured to introduce myself as a newly appointed board member of Young IRO. As an engineering geologist at Van Oord Dredging and Marine Contractors, I’m frequently involved in dredging projects form the initial stages, since all dredging operations involves soil. My interest extends beyond the dredging work itself, encompassing the entire operation. Through my involvement with Young IRO, I have come to appreciate the diverse aspects of the offshore industry.
My primary goal in joining this board is to expand my knowledge of the offshore industry and contribute to its immerse potential. With a strong foundation in offshore operations, I am enthusiastic about surpassing my current knowledge boundaries and exploring the industry’s latest trends and innovations.
Working with fellow board members, I’m eager to contribute my skills, foster partnerships and encourage progress. I am grateful for the opportunity to be part of this esteemed organisation and look forward to the exciting endeavours ahead.
