Since September, we have had two new board members join YoungIRO – and today we want to let the first one introduce herself to our members:
“Hi! I am Annika, 25 years old, and always looking for a new challenge, which brought me here. Bringing stakeholders together, inspiring to change the status quo, and thus giving silent stakeholders such as nature and society the voice needed to create a greeneconomy– that is my motivation, and that is why I joined the Young IRO board in September 2024.
I am looking forward to fun events, educational knowledge exchange, and mostly a great community to get to know!
Other challenges I took in the past were for example moving abroad to the Netherlands from Germany during the lockdown in 2021 (and not having left since) or founding a sustainable startup in Groningen which is where I discovered my passion for sustainability and education. In February, I joined ECHT regie in transitie, which is a consultancy for energy transition, based in Utrecht. I am currently working on circularity and human capital projects.
I hope to meet a lot of you during our “Herfstborrel” on the 17th of October in Rotterdam or during one of our next events!”
