We are pleased to invite you to CONNECTING INDUSTRIES, the first event in a series of three events within the overall 2018 annual theme ‘System Integration’. We think that recognizing the shared purpose that our industries have in the energy sector and triggering innovative collaboration among them is a first step to take position in a changing energy landscape for us all. Central to our upcoming event, therefore, is the question how we can successfully connect industries and create more value throughout the energy supply chain.

In the afternoon the Connecting Industries theme opens with talks on opportunities for the process industry and potential for Electrification, Automation and Digitalisation (Power-to-X). Thereafter, members get together to discuss and work on recent developments in the regular Working Group meetings on Digital Oil & Gas, Offshore Energy, CC(U)S, Geothermal Energy and the Young Professionals.

The evening program delves into some promising projects and developments where successful integration of industries has been applied. Subjects that will be touched upon are, among others, the integration of power-to-gas technology in the refinery industry and how the powerful connection between Energy and Dataport Eemshaven and the Biobased chemicals and recycling cluster in Delfzijl has given rise to an efficient and competitive green port complex.

One of our special guests Prof. Dr. Gerald Linke (Chairman of the German Technical and Scientific Association for Gas and Water in Germany), will give us a view on the development of the system integration and programs in Germany.

After a panel discussion between the guest speakers, scientists and industry experts, the evening ends with networking and drinks. We hope to see you all on March 6th 2018 at the Feyenoord Stadium in Rotterdam!
