Wind power is expected to play a greater role in achieving carbon neutrality by 2050 as one of the main power sources. The Japanese government aims to deploy 6GW of offshore wind capacity by the end of 2025 and 30-45GW by 2040, including floating wind, as part of its to reach net-zero emissions by 2050.
