The Amsterdam-based Spliethoff Group is the largest shipowner in the Netherlands. The group consists of Spliethoff and her subsidiaries BigLift Shipping (heavy lift); Sevenstar Yacht Transport (yacht transport); Wijnne Barends (short sea) and Transfennica (liner service).

The Spliethoff Group plays a leading role worldwide in the transport market for forest products, projects, super heavy-lift, general cargo and yachts.
The Spliethoff Group owns and operates a large and modern fleet of well over 100 multipurpose, heavy-lift and ro-ro vessels ranging in size from 2;100 to 23;000 tonnes. The Spliethoff Group vessels have 1A Ice Class and several even 1A SUPER. They all sail under the Dutch flag.
To ensure its customers have access to the latest technology in shipping the fleet is constantly being renewed. Since January 2009, no less than 22 vessels have been added to our fleet.
The Spliethoff Group endeavours to minimise its vessels’ environmental impact by limiting their emissions of SOx, NOx, soot (fine particles) and CO2, by cleaning waste and ballast water, by doing the utmost to prevent oil spills and by following a strict waste management plan. The Spliethoff Group has high standards for design, maintenance and operation of its vessels, and training of its crew, which guarantees a minimal environmental impact.
