Maritime & Offshore Career Event (MOCE2018)

Rotterdam

In approximately one month, the WTC Rotterdam will be the location for career opportunities in the maritime, offshore and energy industry.
The Maritime & Offshore Career Event (MOCE) 2018 welcomes various companies from the industry who are looking for new talent and experienced professionals. Visiting the event on 28 March is free of charge through
 www.MOCE.biz.

MOCE welcomes many companies representing the entire supply chain at WTC Rotterdam. Companies such as TWD, Jan De Nul Group, Seaway Heavy Lifting, Smulders and many others are ready to talk to over 3,500 visitors about career opportunities and career advancement.

Much more than an exhibition floor
Besides the extensive exhibition floor, there’s more that visitors can experience at MOCE. They can participate in various case studies by for example Damen Shipyards Group, Van Oord, Feadship, Royal IHC and iPS Powerful People.
During the case studies, teams of visitors are asked to solve a problem within 2 hours. This gives participants a chance to leave a good impression, and the companies are able to present themselves face-to-face to the visitors.
The cases vary from designing ‘custom-made’ yachts, the future of the shipbuilding industry, resolving logistical challenges when installing wind turbines and how to get noticed during your application process. When pre-registering through www.MOCE.biz, visitors can sign up for one or more case studies.

Community Square, see you there!
After the success of the first edition last year at MOCE, Community Square is back on the exhibition floor. None other than Jan Versteegh, known from BNN and ‘Wie is de mol?’ is on stage to talk to professionals and visitors about subjects that will radically change the maritime & offshore industry in the next upcoming years.
The main subject on Community Square is transition in the industry. Each ON AIR talk show takes about 30 minutes.

Join the conversation
With his energetic, sometimes wilful and sharp humor, Jan Versteegh will converse with (young) professionals from the industry and students. Subjects such as the influence of the energy transition on your career, developments in the North Sea and chances in Offshore Wind are discussed. Jan Versteegh will also talk about new technologies with companies. What does emission-free and autonomous sailing or 3-D printing mean for ship-owners, shipbuilders, suppliers and everyone that works in the sector? Take place on the terrace at Community Square and join the conversation.

Get inspired and test your knowledge
Besides the various talk shows, inspiring people are telling their story during the Inspirational Talks. Amongst others IRO board member Jan Willem van de Graaf will enter the stage. Finally, the visitors’ knowledge is tested with the quiz ‘Dit was het MaritiemNieuws.nl’. Do you think you know the latest news in the industry? We challenge you!
