On the 12th of October, over 100 IRO members enjoyed a pleasant afternoon in Vlissingen; the meeting place for the last IRO member meeting (“Leden ontmoeten Leden”) in 2016.
As usual, the event presented excellent networking opportunities in an open and informal setting on board of tour boat Denick II.
Zeeland Seaports welcomed the participants at the Damen yard in Vlissingen, where the group embarked for a tour across Vlissingen harbour. Within the offshore market, Zeeland Seaports has been a reliable and sizeable player for many years, thanks to its strategic location vis-à-vis many offshore oil and gas rigs and wind farms in the North Sea. Moreover the ports of Vlissingen and Terneuzen offer excellent nautical access for installation vessels, due to the absence of locks and hardly any waiting times.
