The 2016 edition of the Offshore Technology Conference in Houston was very wel received by both the exhibitors as well as the visitors. The overall attendance was lower than previous years (approx 30% down, from 90,000 tot 60,000, according to the organization), but this resulted in a pleasant atmosphere where there was time for quality business conversations. The Holland pavilion was busier than the rest of the exhibition and really stood out compared to the other booths and pavilions. On Monday evening, IRO organized the annual Holland Network Reception in the Museum of Fine Arts Houston, with more than 350 guests, Dutch and international relations. The Dutch ambassador in the USA, Mr Henne Schuwer, took time out of his busy schedule to visit the Holland pavilion at the NRG Center as well as the evening reception. IRO would like to thank the entire Dutch delegation for making OTC 2016 another success!
