Fibremax and RWE sign Memorandum of Understanding

FibreMax, market leader in designing and producing synthetic mooring solutions for the renewable energy industry and RWE, a global leading developer of renewable energy projects have formally entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).

This agreement marks a significant step in advancing the development and support of synthetic mooring technology for its use in floating wind generation.

FibreMax, a key player in the renewable energy market, brings to the table its extensive knowledge and experience in the development, design and manufacturing, of unique, patented synthetic mooring solutions.

“We are proud of this MoU with RWE as this is a very important step for FibreMax and will not only enhance the overall efficiency but also contribute to the sustainability and potentially local production opportunities” said Sander van Helvoort, Director Renewable Energy at FibreMax.

The Memorandum of Understanding outlines a shared commitment to research and development, as well as the exploration of innovative methods to further reduce the cost of mooring solutions for (ultra) deep water and local production opportunities.

Chris Willow, Head of Floating Wind Development, RWE Offshore Wind said: “It’s important to further develop and grow the supply chain for floating wind, in order to leverage its full potential. Working with forward-thinking and innovative companies like FibreMax helps unlock this potential”.

Both companies are enthusiastic about the potential impact of this collaboration, and look forward to taking the renewable energy industry to new heights with their cutting-edge technology and shared vision.
