As the official event for Suriname’s Energy, Oil & Gas sector the inaugural event, hosted by Staatsolie was organised virtually in June 2021 under the patronage of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, International Business and International Cooperation and Ministry of Natural Resources.
Under the theme of ‘Suriname – Open for Business’ the summit was a resounding success and welcomed 729 participants from 36 countries across 3 days. The President delivered the opening keynote and emphasised the importance of the events dual role in prompting local content and attracting foreign investment.
The 2nd edition of the Suriname Energy, Oil & Gas Summit & Exhibition will be hosted physically in Paramaribo on the 28-30 June 2022 and provides the opportunity to hear from government, meet the major operators, licence holders, tier one contractors, service companies and the entire value chain in Suriname’s nascent hydrocarbons sector. The summit offers a wealth of content for strategically minded companies looking to capitalise on investment, development, and project opportunities in one of the world’s oil & gas hot spots while the exhibition provides the perfect platform for internationals to meet with local partners and buyers to meet with suppliers.
