Young NMT & Young IRO are joining forces and will organize a joint Webinar on the 28th of April. Together with Sylvia Boer we will talk about ‘Networking & Diversity’, two trending topics that a lot of people will recognize in their career as well as during these tumultuous times we are currently all facing.
Both Young NMT and Young IRO are platforms for Young Professionals, where we aim to connect future generations of our industry, to learn, get inspired and share ideas and innovations among each other.
Where Young NMT members are working in the role of ‘creators’ within the maritime technology, Young IRO members are the ‘consumers’ or the users. To learn from each other and to provide an opportunity for our members to connect, we decided to invite Sylvia to guide is.
Sylvia will take us on a journey throughout her career from starting as a young woman in the maritime industry, to becoming the Director of Amsterdam IJmuiden Offshore Ports (AYOP) & President for Women’s International Shipping and Trading Association the Netherlands (WISTA). She will highlight the importance of networking during a career and explain the importance of diversity for a sustainable maritime future.
