Iv-Offshore & Energy

While most of our work today is in offshore renewables, our roots are in the Oil & Gas Industry. This experience provided a solid foundation for developing offshore wind substations, both HVAC and HVDC and, more recently, hydrogen. As a result, much additional knowledge and skills have been developed to meet the challenges of these new projects: we adapted to the new offshore wind market, new operator requirements, new stakeholders, innovative technologies and broader engineering scope.

Iv-Offshore & Energy is proud to be amongst the first operating in the offshore wind sector, especially in substations. We are proud to have developed and engineered the first HVAC substation Horns Rev. A and the HVDC substation BorWin Alpha. Not only were we the first in substations, but we were also at the forefront of the step-up to 1,100 MW HVAC and 1.3 GW HVDC, as well as the step-up to 2GW-525 kV bi-pole HVDC.

We constantly seek the optimum balance between effectiveness, sustainability, and cost while never compromising on safety measures in our designs.
