Rotterdam Partners is proud of Rotterdam and works to improve and strengthen the city. We focus on the image of Rotterdam and promote the Rotterdam region nationally and internationally, welcoming future visitors, companies, residents and students. We are responsible for city marketing and acquisition and work hard at improving the Rotterdam business climate. In this way we strengthen the Rotterdam economy in the broadest sense possible.

International Trade & Investment
Bringing international companies and investment to the city and the Rotterdam region and the continued strengthening of the Rotterdam entrepreneurial climate. This is what the International Trade & Investment (IT&I) department of Rotterdam Partners focuses on every day. The department serves as a one stop shop and offers a ‘Red Carpet Treatment’ with information and services for international entrepreneurs and personnel (expats). The choice of location, fact finding missions, introductions to relevant networks and assistance in areas such as taxation, care, permits, legislation and regulation are all part and parcel of the package of services provided by IT&I. The Rotterdam Expat Centre – part of IT&I – focuses exclusively on supporting expats (international knowledge workers) who come to Rotterdam.

Within the profiling of Rotterdam as business location, we concentrate on those sectors in which Rotterdam is internationally strong and distinctive. Or where we as a city and region see the greatest potential to grow. These economic priority sectors are: Maritime & Offshore, Life Sciences & Health, Agro-food & Logistics, Energy, Clean Tech, Business Services and Smart Industry & IT. We collect and show inspiring examples of successful companies and demonstrate that there is room in Rotterdam for growth, innovation and experiments.
