Award tender autonomous port inspection of Groningen Seaports

DroneQ Robotics receives the award of the tender Autonomous Port Inspection from Groningen Seaports. We are extremely proud of the trust that Groningen Seaports places in us to convert our vision and strategy into a successful formula to realize autonomous port inspections for the ports of Eemshaven and Delfzijl of Groningen Seaports.

DroneQ Robotics with international cooperation partners Maritime RoboticsOWICMarine Technical Limits, Spectro AG and Researchable will join forces from the Startup in Residence programme. Ports will be serviced by autonomous vessels (ASV) and underwater robots (ROV) for underwater inspections and water depth soundings, and drones for surface water inspections. This will develop a sustainable, efficient and integrated inspection and survey solution for ports in collaboration with Groningen Seaports and the provinces of GroningenFriesland and Drenthe.

This involves an efficient use of the technology, the survey and inspection processes, the links with the systems of Groningen Seaports and the integration with manned shipping traffic and other port activities. Improving safety, digitization, sustainability and contributing to a green, clean and efficient port are important core values for Groningen Seaports and DroneQ Robotics!

DroneQ Robotics uses the self-developed Autonomous Marine Asset Integrity Management System for ports, industry and offshore. This consists of the Multi Technology Approach of advanced autonomous vessels (ASV), underwater robots (ROV) and drones. AI, object recognition, Data Science and further developed processes and procedures are important tools that will be further developed in collaboration with Groningen Seaports.

The Autonomous Marine Asset Integrity Management System has been developed for port infrastructure objects, such as quays, sheet piling, jetties and piles. Inspections of dikes, locks, bridges, canals and rivers are also part of the proposition. Offshore objects include Offshore wind turbines, Offshore Sub Stations and production platforms, FPSOs and SBMs, pipelines and cables, ecological research and other marine objects.
