‘Young IRO all around’

Young IRO is proud to announce that we reached the full capacity for our second Intelligence Event: Young IRO and Young IHC Combine (Digital) Forces. Ninety enthusiastic Young IRO and Young IHC members will attend our interactive program including an IBM presentation about blockchain, a workshop hosted by IHC, the IHC yard tour and the network dinner.

The preparations of the third Intelligence Event are already in full swing. This event will take place on the Offshore Energy Exhibition & Conference (OEEC) in the Amsterdam RAI on 23 October. More information will be announced soon.

Moreover, during the OEEC Gala Dinner & Award Show the Offshore Energy Young Engineer Award will be awarded. Are you, your colleague or someone else you know the Offshore Energy Young Engineer 2018? Then do not forget to nominate via this link: https://www.offshore-energy.biz/awards?wfu=young-engineer. The nomination deadline is 29th of June. This year, Bernard Alblas, Young IRO Chairman will be in the jury together with Jan van der Tempel (De Oude Bibliotheek Academy), Robert Plat (Royal IHC), Dries Lammens (Jan de Nul) and Jaap den Ouden (Den Ouden Waterside Industries BV).

Furthermore, this month Young IRO challenged its members to be creative by means of a contest: describe the wind industry in three words. The winner won two tickets for the WindDays in WTC Rotterdam. The winning quote was ‘Wind is coming’, a reference to the famous Game of Thrones quote ‘Winter is coming’. For more Young IRO news and updates, follow our LinkedIn page and Instagram: young_iro.
